Blog History
"Phillies Phever" was started in February of 2010. The name comes from the popular 1976 song performed by Larry Bowa, Mike Schmidt, Garry Maddox, Greg Luzinski, and David Cash. Officially, the name of the song is spelled "Fever" but in the Phillies world, we don't use the letter "F," we use "Ph."

The Logo
The logo contains the light-blue color from the 1980's away uniforms as well as the classic Phillies maroon. Since the blog's name is from that era, I figured those colors would be appropriate. I made the logo while fooling around with Microsoft Paint and yet somehow the logo itself looks like it could be from the 80s. The two blue stars on the white line in between "illies" and "ever" represent not only the two stars on the real Phillies logo, but also the number of championships the franchise has.

About the Author
The author was born in the Lehigh Valley and has lived there his whole life. He was a Phillies fan since birth and grew to love all sports. He is heading into his Junior year at the University of Massachusetts. His current and all-time favorite baseball player is Chase Utley. If he played baseball he'd have "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin as his walk-up song or "Gunna Be A Blackout Tonight" by Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music if he was a pitcher. Matt also likes Springsteen, animals, politics, playing PS3, and of course, blogging.
